Economic Recovery wine list will continue… come save some $$ on some good wines..

Continuing into August, the Jackson Dining Room at the Broyhill Inn, we will be offering an additional special wine list.. we have compiled a lengthy wine list of many many wonderful wines that we used during our educational wine trainings throughout the year.

The fun part is two fold… They are all priced at $22 and we only have a few bottles of each…

One copy of the menu will be floating around between the customers and as we sell a bottle, we will mark off the bottle so that we maintain an accurate count of what is still available… Many bottles have been consumed.. but we still have many great values left.

So our Economic Recovery Wine List will continue to be in place. Come out and enjoy some great wine buys, have a great meal with our awesome 25 mile long range view. Be sure to give us a call to make reservations! 262-2204

Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park – Trails are being cut!!!

Went to an awesome presentation last night about the progress and information on Boone’s newest attraction – the Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park located just east of town off of Hwy 421.  The room was standing room only and the project has generated a lot of local enthusiasm and support.

The Boone Area Cyclists and Watauga County Tourism professionals have teamed up to provide inspiration, volunteer labor and some funding to get this project rolling quickly.. in just about a years time from the initial concepts…  trails are underway.

To follow the development of this exciting project, here is the blog url http://rockyknob.wordpress.com/

Here you can see photos and read about the progress… also ways that you can get involved.

Come on up and see us during the height of the fall color season!  Boone and the High Country is a tremendous location to take in the beautiful fall foliage with all of our hard wood trees across the mountain sides.  Enjoy the cool temperatures, a walk along a crystal clear stream or shopping in the quaint downtown of Boone NC.  Make plans to visit the High Country today!

The Appalachian Football Season is almost upon us… Should the Gator nation take notice?

I am well aware that every year, new teams take the field and it does little good to look backwards.. Backwards to say, 2007 when this team playing with truck loads of heart, traveled to the Big House to face Michigan. Well, this year the Appalachian State University Football Team will be traveling to the Swamp to face the Florida Gators in late November. Can we have another?

A little video reminder in case you forgot?

Talk on the street is positive about this 2010 team and we are excited to have a great home game run this fall in Boone.. We look forward to the return of the great ASU Alumni that so proudly support the Mountaineers so come on up to the High Country and see us this fall and wear your Black & Gold with pride.
