Getting Here - Maps & Directions

Getting here is part of the fun, as you leave the major interstates; you begin to unwind as you wind your way up the mountains, leaving the high paced life in your rear view mirror. You are now just a pleasant and picturesque drive to our door. Boone, the “county seat” of the High Country, is easy to reach from any direction, bordered by I-40 to the South, I-81 to the North, I-26 to the West, and I-77 to the East.

I-40 Traveling West from Winston-Salem - Drive west on I-40 and take Exit 188 onto Highway 421N which is just past the Hanes Mall exit. Travel about one hour and a half on Highway 421N into downtown Boone, NC. Stay on 421N which becomes King Street and turn left at Depot Street and go through 1 traffic light, where the street name changes to Bodenheimer Drive. Proceed up the hill ¾ mile to the Broyhill Inn & Conference Center.

I-77 Traveling South from VA - Drive south on I-77 and take Exit #73 onto Highway 421N. Travel about one hour into downtown Boone, NC. Turn left at Depot Street and go through 1 traffic light, where the street name changes to Bodenheimer Drive. Proceed up the hill ¾ mile to the Broyhill Inn & Conference Center.

I-40 Traveling East from TN - Drive east on I-40, around Asheville and Black Mountain. At Marion, take Exit #85 onto Highway 221N and drive to Linville (about 50 miles). Turn onto Highway 105N at Linville and proceed into Boone, NC. At Wendy's Restaurant, turn left onto Blowing Rock Road. At 2nd traffic light (just past Convocation Center), turn left onto Rivers Street. At 5th traffic light, turn left onto Bodenheimer Drive and proceed ¾ mile up the hill to the Broyhill Inn & Conference Center.

I-85 Traveling South from VA - Travel south from Virginia line to Hillsborough, where I-85 and I-40 merge. Continue on I-85/I-40 and stay in right lanes when approaching Greensboro, where I-40 splits off. Continue on I-40 around Winston-Salem and take Exit #188 onto Highway 421N and continue to downtown Boone (about an hour). Turn left at Depot Street and go through 1 traffic light, where the street name changes to Bodenheimer Drive. Proceed up the hill ¾ mile to the Broyhill Inn & Conference Center.

I-77 Traveling North from SC - Drive north on I-77 past Charlotte and Statesville. Take Exit 73 onto 421N and travel about one hour into downtown Boone. Turn left at Depot Street and go through 1 traffic light, where the name changes to Bodenheimer Drive. Proceed up the hill ¾ mile to the Broyhill Inn & Conference Center.

I-85 Traveling North from SC - Drive north to Gastonia and take Exit #17 onto Highway 321N through Hickory into Boone. At the 8th traffic light (just past Convocation Center), turn left onto Rivers Street. At 5th traffic light, turn left onto Bodenheimer Drive and proceed ¾ mile up the hill to the Broyhill Inn & Conference Center.

I-26 Traveling West from SC - Take Exit #36 onto Highway 74E. Drive 15 miles and turn onto Highway 221N to Linville. At Linville turn onto Highway 105N and proceed into Boone. Turn left at Wendy's Restaurant onto Blowing Rock Road. At 2nd traffic light (just past Hardee's), turn left onto Rivers Street. At 5th traffic light, turn left again onto Bodenheimer Drive and drive ¾ mile up the hill to the Broyhill Inn & Conference Center.

Directions: Hwy. 105 S to Hwy. 184 (Banner Elk turn-off). Proceed through Banner Elk to stoplight. At stoplight turn left onto Hwy. 194 .At Elk Falls turn right onto Hwy. 19 E to Elizabethton, TN. In Elizabethton continue on 19E until it intersects with Hwy 11E/19. Turn right on 11E/19 to Hwy 394 at Bluff City, TN. Turn left (west) on Hwy. 394 to Blountville, TN. In Blountville take Hwy. 126 and then at this intersection with Hwy. 75 turn left to the airport.
