The Broyhill Inn is a quiet escape in the mountains of North Carolina. Owned & operated by Appalachian State University, our professional staff works side by side with Appalachian State University students to meet your needs and exceed your expectations. A state-of-the-art facility, The Broyhill Inn offers a low cost alternative for conferences, trade shows, celebrations, retreats and meetings. Located just a few blocks from the intersection of US Highways 221, 321 and 421, The Broyhill offers easy access from Asheville, Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Raleigh/Durham and Eastern Tennessee. In addition to our own services, a variety of local restaurants and night life can be found in downtown Boone, just at the base of our hill. Local activities include golf, fishing, skiing, hiking, tennis, river rafting and much more.
Renovated in 2000, the Broyhill Inn offers 83 guestrooms and suites, designed for comfort and practicality to accommodate both business and leisure travel. All rooms have top quality mattresses & triple sheeted beds, recliners, generously sized work desks, refrigerators, microwaves, in-room coffee, televisions and free high speed wireless internet. Three deluxe suites are also equipped with executive meeting areas for smaller groups of 6-12 people. All accommodation rates include complimentary continental breakfast.
The Jackson Dining Room offers both ambiance and diverse dining options throughout the day every day. Continental Breakfast, Conference dining room for lunch, dinner on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday brunch are served in front of our majestic Tennessee black stone fireplace, overlooking a beautiful mountain view from the all-glass building facade. Our delightful cuisine, impressive views, and live student entertainment make the JDR a truly special place to dine at the top of the mountain. Our award winning Executive Chef and banquet staff offer reasonably priced dining options to suit your needs in any of our 20 flexible use conference & event rooms.
Our 20,000 square foot conference facility features 20 different meeting spaces ranging from a grand ballroom which can accommodate over 400 people for plated dinners to executive boardrooms for retreats, planning meetings and breakouts. A state-of-the-art audio/visual system installed in January, 2009, features a ceiling-mounted Christie LX120 cinema-quality LCD Projector and fully Pro Audio matrix sound processing, including 2000 Watts of sound amplification through dual TOA DA-250 High Efficiency Amplifiers, an Ashly Protea Matrix Processor and 15 crystal clear ceiling-flush speakers. All audio/visual needs can be accommodated, from digital audio recording to video and web conferencing, and wall-mounted access plates can be used to interface virtually any electronic device you wish to bring.
